Hydroelectric

The hydroelectric sector has, to some extent, exhausted its potential for large plants. However, small plants have become financially viable, especially thanks to eco-incentives and ever more efficient technology.

Mini-hydroelectricity generation is the group’s core business, with 32 plants located throughout central and northern Italy, both run-of-river and on aqueducts, producing a total of about 40 GWh/year.

The knowhow developed, and the unexplored potential in Italy and abroad, ensure considerable room for internal growth.
