Biomass

The biomass market is particularly interesting because it offers the opportunity of generating energy and contributing to the disposal of agricultural surplus and by-products.

Three projects for wood-fuel biomass plants in central Italy are at the advanced study and approval stage. A distinctive element is the close link with the source of the biomass wood fuel, thereby ensuring supply and traceability, keeping production constant, and reducing the financial and environmental costs of the logistics.

It is expected that a fully operational plant will come on line by 2011.
